Please feel free to take a look and make any suggestions.

Coral Snake Walking Cane

Just completed a really nice carved snake walking cane.

The cane has the snake carved from the very bottom of the stick to the top.

The top of the cane has brass "hame" handle.

The snake is painted black, yellow, red and has 3 coats of polyurethane.

While Searching For Walking Stick Wood

While searching for sticks in the woods I came across this critter in the woods and quickly snapped a picture with my camera.
I think if his eyes has been glowing when I took the picture I would have kinda freaked out.
I often see coyotas, deer, fox, and other critters, but haven't seen a bear yet!

Multi-Color Snake

Just finished another carved snake walking stick.

I decided to paint the snake with bright colors, which may not look like a life like colored snake, but is really an attention getter.

Work In Progress

Just added the first layer of paint to the snake I've carved on the walking stick.

The paint color was golden rod, but has taken on a green cast.

I plan to add several more layers of paint before finishing the stick.

Let me know what you think.

Cedar Sticks

This past winter I cut nearly 400 cedar "blanks" to be made into walking sticks.

Last week I made about 15 walking sticks and I was impressed.

The sticks are light, straight, and look great.
