Kentucky Walking Stick Medalion

This is the new Kentucky Walking Stick medalion.
I think this really adds to the look of the walking stick.

Three Really Nice Carved Snake Walking Sticks

Wow! I just can't believe how wonderful these three Carved Snake Walking Stick turned out. One has a nice brass "Hame" installed the other two do not. The snake on each walking stick is coated in the night glow material.

It has taken quite a while to complete these, however I think they were worth the effort.

These walking sticks are the first to have the Kentucky Walking Stick medalions installed.

White Snake Cane With Brass Hame

Just finished a really nice Carved Snake Cane with a Brass Hame installed on the top of the cane. I wasn't sure how the color white would look for the snake but, you know what I really like it. The picture of the cane is shown beside a Carved Snake Walking Stick that I carved for another person and finished this week also.

Carved Snake With Brass Hame

I just think the Brass Hame adds so much to the Carved Snake Walking Stick.

I need your input. What do you think of the painted finish on this walking stick. I've been trying different color combinations and I have decided that I really like this finish.

Please let me know what you think.

I would appreciate your comments.

Couple Of Nice Carved Snake Sticks

One Carved Snake Walking Stick and another nice Carved Snake Cane.

What do you think of the green background? Seems like the pictures I take are kinda plain, so I'm looking for a way to improve my picture taking skills.

Any suggestions?

Carved Snake Cane

I just finished a nice Carved Snake Cane.

Kinda nice to work on a cane for someone who will really enjoy it's use.

Kentucky Walking Stick Medallion

I'm working on the design of a medallion for each of the Carved Snake Walking Sticks.

People often tell me that people ask where they purchased the Carved Snake Walking Stick.

I think the medallion will prove to be an added benefit to each walking stick.

Certificate For Carved Snake Walking Sticks

I've decided to start suppling a certificate with each Carved Snake Walking Stick that I create. It's just something that I think would be kinda nice.

What do you think?

Any suggestions?

Just Finished Another Carved Snake

Just got finished with another Carved Snake Walking Stick for a guy in Flordia. The walking stick was pretty nice, but I haven't figured out how to take a reallyt good overall picture of the entire walking stick. This one had a very nice brass hame on the top of the walking stick.

10,000 Walking Sticks

I just can't believe that I have reached a goal that I wasn't sure was possible, but I have just sold stick number 10,000. Wow! When I first started carving and making walking sticks I had no idea I would be able to supply so many walking sticks.

Thanks guys, I couldn't have done it without you.

Kinda Proud Of This One

This one turned out really well.

I don't think I have carved a Carved Snake Walking Stick with this many coils in a long time. Sometimes they just work out well. The head took a lot of work, but the coils just kinda fell into place.

Carved Snake Cane With Brass Hame

Just finished this nice Carved Snake with a Brass Hame installed on the top of the cane. The particular cane is going to Taylorsville, Kentucky.
I hope the snake doesn't crawl into my daughter's boots.

Carved Snake Walking Stick With Brass Hame

Just finished a really nice looking Carved Snake Walking Stick with a Brass Hame on the top of the walking stick. Took quite a bit of work because the stick had quite a bit of bend in it, which I heated and straightned.

Please take a quick look and tell me what you think.

Carved Snake Walking Stick

Just added the "Glow In The Dark" to another carved Snake Walking Stick. This Carved Snake Walking Stick is going Athens, Greece. Along way from good old Kentucky,

This has been really great week. I've sold six (6) Carved Snake Walking Sticks. It's too bad my photo skills are not so good. The sticks look much better than the pictures I post.

I sure am a lucky person to have a small amount of skill to carve the snakes, because the money has been a big help to my family during bad times.

Two Carved Snake Walking Sticks

Just carved two Carved Snake Walking Sticks, one is finished and painted, one is not complete. The un-finished Carved Snake Walking Stick has been ordered by a person in Athens, Greece. Once the stick is painted and coated with poly, I will ship it to Greece.

Another Carved Snake Walking Stick

Just finished this Carved Snake Walking Stick for a man in AZ. The walking stick has a brass hame on the top of the walking stick for a hand hold. The snake is a Rattle Snake.

Took quite a while to finish the stick due to the very hot days that we have been having and of course I don't have any air conditioning in the work shop. I think I lost about 5 gallon of water while working on the stick.

Kris Kristofferson With Carved Snake Walking Stick

Krist Kristofferson is staring in a new movie "Provinces Of Night", which is currently under production. Kristofferson plays the part of an older country music star. In the movie Kris carries a Carved Snake Walking Stick, which I made for his use in the movie.

I'm so excitted and I'm sure I will be watching for the movie. I can't wait to see the Carved Snake walking stick that I made in a movie.

Carved Snake Walking Stick

Wow! Just finished a Carved Snake Walking stick that a person has placed an order for.

I tried something new. I painted a layer of color on this walking stick before I applied the layers of poly. I like the way it looks, what do you think?

I just wish my picture taking skills were a little better.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Not A Good Day For Stick Hunting

Yesterday, I had a bit of bad luck cutting sticks. I mean I had good luck finding the sticks, however not so good luck cutting the sticks. I was cutting the very last stick of the day and got in just a little bit of a hurry.

One slip of the saw and I was regretting being so careless. The saw slipped and cut my left wrist. Blood went everywhere. Stick cutting ended and I had make a trip to the doctor to have my arm sewed up.

Good Day Searching For Twisted Sticks

Wow! Have I found a honey hole for Twisted Sticks.

The twisted sticks are just the right size, with 6 - 10 twists. I cut 44 sticks yesterday afternoon. I plan to go back today and cut another 50 or so.

That's the way it goes when search for twisted sticks. You walk maybe mile and nothing. Then all of a sudden you find a really great spot, if you are lucky, close to the truck. In this case I have to carry the sticks a really long way, which is back breaking work.

Carved Snake Walking Stick

Just finished carving this walking stick.

I think the Carved Snake looks pretty good! When I carve one of these, I kinda hate to ship it out to the customer, but I can't really keep them all.

Large Order Of Walking Sticks

Wow! Last week was a busy week.

I shipped a large order of 210 walking sticks to a customer in Calafornia. Lot of work, but I sure can use the money and I hope I have made another customer happy. I just want to say, "Thank You"!

Why I Didn't Have Electricity During Ice Storm

Here's why I didn't have any electricity during the ice storm last week.

Ice Storm Today

I went outside walking in the woods, but to much ice in the trees. I was worried that a hugh limb would fall and hit me in the head.

Only 8 Curles Today

Man, I sure will be glad once this cold weather warms just a bit. Today I was only able to find 8 Curled Sticks. Saw one rabbit and about 100 geese. Even on a day when I don't find many sticks it's still a blast just to be outside, walking in the woods. I think I may start taking our dog (Sam). I think he would have a ball, if he doesn't get lost. How do you like the picture of the possom. He was traveling through the woods, while I was looking for sticks. We both eyed each other and went our seperate ways.

Great Day Searching For Sticks

Today was a cold, but a great day.

I spent the entire day with a good friend Neil searching for sticks. After nearly 6 hours of searching we were rewarded with 40 curled sticks. Not only did we find some really nice sticks, we were able to see several turkeys, squirels, and rabbits.

What a great way to spend the day!

Cold Day To Search For Walking Sticks

Wow! Today is a cold day, nearly 20 degrees and I'm out looking for sticks to make into walking sticks. Snow in the trees and everytime I shake a bush the snow falls down my collar. Sometimes I think I surely must be crazy.

I did have quite a bit of luck. I managed to find 20 curled/twisted sticks. A year or so from now these will make really great walking sticks.
